  10. K2KLIST - A utility for Kurzweil K2000 users
  11.  
  12. What it does:
  13. -------------
  14.  
  15. K2KLIST will process any file saved to the internal floppy drive on a
  16. Kurzweil K2000.  It will list information about all of the objects
  17. stored in that file.  After saving a file to the K2000 floppy drive,
  18. move it to your PC-Compatible floppy drive, and run K2KLIST according
  19. to the following instructions.

  21. How to use it:
  22. --------------

  24. All files saved on the K2000 internal floppy drive are in MS-DOS (IBM
  25. PC) format.  The filenames are eight characters or less, with the
  26. ".KRZ" extention.  After locating one of these files on your
  27. PC-Compatible drive, you can run K2KLIST to see its contents.

  29. K2KLIST FILENAME

  31. where FILENAME is the complete pathname of the file you want to list. 
  32. This will display the following information:

  34. Object Type: Effect
  35. Object Name: Sweet Hall
  36. Util Size:   62
  37. Actual Size: 68
  38. Original ID: 700

  41. Object Type will display the type of object that was found.  For a
  42. complete list of objects, please see Appendix A1 of your K2000
  43. Musicians Guide.
  44.  
  45. Object Name is the name that the individual object was given on your
  46. K2000.
  47.  
  48. Util Size is the size, in bytes, returned by the K2000 utilities
  49. page.
  50.  
  51. Actual Size is the size, in bytes, that the object uses on disk.
  52.  
  53. Original ID is the bank ID number that the object had when it was
  54. saved to disk.

  57. Other Output Formats:

  60. If you have trouble reading thousands of characters per second, you
  61. can use the following:

  63. K2KLIST FILENAME | MORE
  64.  
  65. This will pause the output at every page.  Hit a key for the next
  66. page.

  68. If you would like to dump all object information to a text file, use:
  69.  
  70. K2KLIST FILENAME > OUTPUT.TXT
  71.  
  72. The output of K2KLIST will not go to the screen, but instead will be
  73. saved to the text file OUTPUT.TXT

  76. If you have problems:
  77. ---------------------
  78. If your copy of K2KLIST.EXE is malfunctioning, please get a new
  79. copy from a reliable source such as Compuserve.  If you type
  80. K2KLIST with no filename, it should return with information such
  81. as the Corrosive Software address.  If it returns nothing, your
  82. copy is corrupted and you need a new one.
